Terms of Service for ElderLaw

1. Overview

Welcome to ElderLaw, a specialized center for protecting the rights of older people on inheritance, housing, benefits and powers of attorney, operating at 100 Queen St W, Toronto, ON M5H 2N1, Canada. By accessing this site and our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Services

2.1 Scope

ElderLaw provides professional advisory services related to inheritance matters, housing rights, benefit claims and powers of attorney documentation (collectively “Services”).

2.2 Cancellation and Refunds

Clients may cancel scheduled Services up to 48 hours before the appointment without charge. To cancel or reschedule, please submit a request using our contact form at least two full days before. Cancellations made later will incur a fee equal to the preparation time and administrator costs. If you cancel in a timely manner, any fees paid will be refunded within 10 business days to the original payment source. In exceptional circumstances, you may apply for a rescheduling of Services instead of a refund.

Certain Services, such as document drafting and court filings, are non-refundable due to the work invested upon engagement. Fees for those Services are final once work commences.

3. Information Products

3.1 Definition

“Information Products” include e-books, guides, webinars and digital courses produced by ElderLaw.

3.2 Refund Policy

Purchasers of Information Products may request a full refund within 14 calendar days of purchase, provided they have not downloaded or streamed more than 25% of the content. To request a refund, please contact our team via the contact form. Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method.

4. Goods

4.1 Definition

“Goods” refer to printed materials and physical publications offered by ElderLaw.

4.2 Shipping and Refunds

Buyers may ship back unopened Goods within 30 calendar days of delivery for a refund of the product price. Shipping expenses to send back Goods are the responsibility of the buyer. Once the Goods are received and inspected, we will issue a refund within 14 business days to the original payment source.

6. Changes to Terms

ElderLaw may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. The “Effective Date” above indicates when the current version became active.
